What Is Keyword Research?
Keyword research finds the searches your buyers actually type, then sorts them by whether you can win them. Volume is the least useful number in the report. What decides the list is intent, competition, and whether a page you can realistically build would rank on page one.
Why Target Specific Keywords for SEO
Keyword research is the first step of a wider engagement, described under our SEO services.
Keyword research finds the searches your buyers actually type and sorts them by whether you can win them. Volume is the least useful number in the report.
What matters is intent, competition, and whether a page you can realistically build would rank. Most sites target terms that are either too broad or commercially useless.
Keywords are the building blocks for the search engines algorithm. Imagine blindly picking out information from a data base of trillions of websites.
This will not work well without narrowing down your choices to a specific word or phrase. These are called keywords.
Whenever a search is done on the internet keywords or tags are used. Keywords direct traffic to your site, thus making keywords work for your business.
Without proper keyword analysis and research you are blindly hoping your website is found on the search engines. When highly targeted SEO keywords are used for your website, you can expect to see top level results.
Your traffic will increase and your sales will expand beyond the limits you thought possible! Remember that keywords are not the only aspect to search engine optimization; there are many other factors that are explained under our consulting services.

Keyword Research and Analysis
You provide us with a brief description about your business and its services and we will compile a list of keywords for you. Looking through your website we will learn about your business and come up with relevant keywords.
We then research and analyze these keywords to find the ones that achieve the greatest search engine rankings. If you want high rankings on the major search engines then you must analyze your biggest competitor’s methods for achieving such high rankings.
In order to do this we analyze the top ten sites for your keywords and observe their tactics. Then we modify your page in a way that is superior to you competitor’s sites by using better keywords tactics and placing them where search engines pick them up.
We take these keywords and incorporate them into your website where it counts. This maximizes search engine listings and gets tons of hits to your website.
Then next step is submitting your website to all the major search engines.
“He provided a roadmap to begin implementing keywords and backlinks to increase my website traffic.”

Keyword Top Rankings
We get you top rankings in the major search engines using relevant keywords, thus dramatically increasing web site traffic and profitability! Some search engine optimization companies claim to get you high rankings, yet the keywords are irrelevant to your business.
At SEO Optimizers we achieve high rankings for keywords by analyzing the ones that get qualified traffic to your website. We want to see your site grow and your sales accelerate.
When Keyword Research Is Not the Bottleneck
Keyword research is often bought when something else is actually wrong.
If you already rank on page two for terms your buyers use, you do not need new keywords. You need the existing pages improved.
That is faster, cheaper, and far more likely to produce inquiries this quarter.
If your site has three pages, research will hand you a list you cannot act on. Build the service pages first, then research which ones to expand.
If you are ranking and not converting, the problem is the page, not the term. Look at what the visitor sees when they arrive before commissioning a new list of things to target.
Research earns its cost when you have pages to build and no reliable way to decide which ones. That is the moment it pays, and it is worth waiting for.
“Brandon is very patient and very professional. He answered any questions I had.”

Reading a Keyword Before You Target It
| What the search looks like | What the person wants | Worth targeting? |
|---|---|---|
| “[service] near me” | To hire someone today | Yes, highest priority |
| “best [service] in [city]” | To compare two or three | Yes |
| “how much does [service] cost” | To budget, weeks out | Yes, catches them early |
| “what is [service]” | To learn, may never buy | Only for authority |
| “[service] jobs” or “salary” | A job, not your service | No, filter these out |
What You Actually Receive
The deliverable is a decision, not a spreadsheet of every phrase containing your service.
You get the searches your buyers use, grouped by what the person actually wants, with the competition for each one assessed against your own site rather than in the abstract.
Each group is mapped to a page: one that exists and needs improving, or one that needs building. That mapping is the part most reports skip, and it is the part that turns research into work.
You also get the terms we recommend ignoring, and why. Ruling things out saves more money than adding them, particularly in markets full of career and salary searches that look like demand.

Frequently Asked Questions
Done properly it tells you what to write before you spend money writing it.
How do you decide which keywords to target?
Deciding which keywords to target comes down to three factors: how many people search the term each month, how strong the sites already ranking for it are, and what the searcher intends to do next. A term with modest volume and clear buying intent usually beats a high-volume term where everyone is just browsing.
We also check whether your site is realistically strong enough to compete before committing to a term.
How many keywords should a page target?
A page should target one primary keyword plus a small group of closely related variations that mean the same thing. Trying to rank one page for several unrelated terms usually means it ranks well for none of them, because the content cannot fully answer more than one question. Related variations are different, and belong together.
If two keywords need genuinely different answers, they need two pages rather than one page attempting both.
How much do keyword research services cost?
Keyword research services are commonly sold as a one-time project. Rates across the market run from roughly $300 for a small local site to $3,000 or more for a large catalog or a national market with many buyer segments. We include it inside a wider engagement rather than selling it alone, because a keyword list nobody builds pages from is an expense rather than an asset.
It is also included in most ongoing SEO retainers rather than billed separately. A one-time project is a sensible start if you want to see the opportunity before committing to a longer engagement.
How often should keyword research be redone?
Keyword research is worth revisiting once a year for most businesses, and sooner if you add a service, enter a new area, or notice rankings shifting. Search behavior changes more slowly than the industry suggests. What does change quickly is who ranks, so it is worth checking the competition on your main terms more often than you rebuild the list itself.
What changes faster is competition, so the useful review is not finding new terms but checking whether the ones you targeted are still winnable.
Is keyword volume the most important metric?
Keyword volume is the least useful number in most reports. A term with 50 searches a month from people ready to buy is worth more than one with 5,000 from people researching a definition. Volume tells you how big a market could be, not how much of it will ever call you, which is why the list gets sorted by intent first.
Judge a keyword on intent first, then on whether the pages currently ranking are ones you could realistically displace. Volume only matters once both of those pass.
